NFL players will be back on the field for the second consecutive season on Monday night, but fans will be treated to a completely different look when the game is on NBC.
According to a source close to the show, the NFL’s new ratings and audience projections will take a hit, as NBC will be able to more accurately portray the NFL as a TV event.
The new ratings will include an improved viewing experience for viewers who are viewing live, as the broadcast will be shown on NBC Sports Network.
This will allow NBC Sports to offer more than 10 hours of programming for fans who want to see all 32 teams in action.
Additionally, the network will be providing an updated audience projection for the upcoming season.
While the viewership is not yet finalized, the source close the show told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the projection could be a positive one for the NFL this year.
The change comes after the NFL announced in August that it would begin broadcasting a new season on NBC starting next season.
