Donald Trump is planning to visit the Lone Star State this July to retaliate against the Democratic party for its loss in the 2018 midterm elections, according to a White House official.
Trump will be in Texas in early July, the official said.
Trump has long complained that Democrats have neglected his state in the Senate.
He called on Democrats in his state to get back to work and address the issue of education and infrastructure during a visit to the state last month.
The Trump administration has been working with Texas to promote its manufacturing base.
The president will speak with state officials about a series of initiatives that aim to revitalize the Lone Stars economy, the Texas Tribune reported.

Trump’s Texas visit comes on the heels of his controversial meeting with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Wednesday, where he blamed Democrats for the defeat of his state’s Senate candidate and called on the GOP to “do a better job.”
