By now, you’ve probably heard that the new season of HBO’s The Cajun: The Movie was cancelled due to budgetary reasons.
The series was to have been filmed in the United States and was expected to premiere in January 2018.
But the show’s production team in Louisiana is moving forward with a new series, “Cajuns Season,” which is set to premiere on April 13.
“We’re not canceling The Cancun Season,” the network said in a statement.
“We’re continuing to work with the showrunner and his production team to create a season that is in line with the rest of the country.”
The show’s producers have yet to announce their next project.
However, the trailer for the new series has already been uploaded to YouTube, and the first episode will be available on April 19.
The series was originally set to film in Louisiana, but production has been halted in Louisiana for the time being.
The Louisiana Tourism Development Agency has since asked for the series to be filmed in New York City.
